Calculus-based Mechanics (3 semester credit hours). Basic physics class for non-Physics-major students, including a study of space and time, kinematics, forces, energy and momentum, conservation laws, rotational motion, torques, and harmonic oscillation. Two lectures per week.

PHYS 5322

Fall 2023, 2024

Graduate-level electrodynamics (3 semester credit hours). Core physics course for PhD students in Physics, including electromagnetic waves in unbounded media, boundary conditions at interfaces, electromagnetic waves in bonded media - waveguides and resonant cavities, radiating systems - electric and magnetic dipole radiation, electric quadruple radiation, fundamentals of scattering, Lorentz transformation and covariant forms for Maxwell's equations, and radiation from moving charges. Two lectures per week.
